GRAPE-VARIETY: 100% Barbera

SOIL: medium consistency, slightly calcareous, fertile; at its best facing south south east, where it basks in the midday sun; medium-late ripener

VINE-TRAINING: classic row of vines with Guyot pruning; we choice the rootstocks according to the type of land, with most clones to obtain a wider bouquet

ALTITUDE: 450-500 m

COLOUR: garnet with violaceous hue

NOSE: intense smell of sour black cherry, cherry preserved in alcohol and jam

TASTE: marked acidity which go beyond the hot alcohol

SERVING TEMPERATURE: 18-20° C

MATCHING TIPS: typical dishes of the Piedmont’s kitchen, especially with sliced salami, cold meats, red meat, cheese and salted cakes
